My assignment to write this website....

A few days later, God and I were talking about stuff, ....and He brought up those "know your Biblical worldview" emails to my wonderful Grandchildren.  ....God nudged me, suggesting I rewrite them into a website as an Online Book.  ....After-all, He said, ....emails could be misplaced.  But, on a website, they're always accessible ....for EVERYONE, when they might need encouragement, and I want to talk with them.

Today, thinking back on that conversation with God, ....this scripture comes to mind....

SMILE, ....as I write this, ....I realize God was telling me, "I'm working in a lot of people's lives to know 'What?' they believe and 'Why?'.  So, ....we need this website encouraging them to think deeply about My presence in their lives.  ....Someday, they will have a "God-Moment" with Me, ....and I want them to understand My goodness intentions in their lives ....and My love for them.  .......That's what I like to do, you know."

Of course, I said, "yes, LORD, let's do it."  ....And apparently, ....looking at our Menu with 25 chapter topics, ....He has more to say than those few original emails.  SMILE....

December 16th email to family and friends

Following is the email I wrote on December 16, 2023, helping me remember details of what God did miraculously two days earlier on the 14th.  ....Maggie and I know it happened.  We were there.  ....And I'm still here ....to write this website testifying about being protected by our amazing Lord God Almighty!

Family & Friends,
 
Want to tell you about an amazing "God-Moment" that Maggie and I experienced, while driving to Colorado for Christmas.  It happened Thursday, December 14th about 11:30am.  
 
Maggie and I were going west on Hwy 50 out of Pueblo, Colorado, and still a few miles east of Salida.  If you've driven that highway, you know it follows along the south side of winding Arkansas River.  ....On the left, canyon walls.  On our right, the river flowing about 10 to 20 feet below road level.  Beautiful drive.  
 
I was driving as we talked, enjoying the drive.  We just finished a long curve following the river, ....and looking to our right (west) across the river bend saw two cars coming our way followed by a big semi-tractor-trailer truck.
 
A curve was ahead, so we could not clearly see oncoming traffic.  We were doing about 50 mph at the time.  Safe enough.  
 
Suddenly, there was a "steel" wall in front of us!  The truck was in our lane, ....passing those cars.  On our left, the canyon wall.  On our right, the river below.  ....That's all I remember seeing before God's move.  
 
It was a moment with smashing death written all over it.  Didn't have time to say "Jesus, help us!"  ......It took place so fast, Maggie's first comment after was "My heart didn't have time to race!"  .......Grateful to be sending this email to you today!
 
Here's what I remember....  
 
.......Saw the truck coming at us, ....felt our car accelerating and moving right, off the road.  I was in the driver's seat, ....but I had a lot of help, ....as God's protecting angels took control.  ......Glancing left, I saw the truck's big trailer flying past us, just a few feet away.  .....In a moment too short to count, the semi-truck was gone on down the road, ....as our car drove left ....back onto the highway as though nothing had happened.  ....And I was driving again.
 
As we continued down the road, Maggie said she "...felt Angels were holding up our car", and looking right she "saw the river below us."  ....Thinking about that moment for the past two days and nights, .....I had no fear or anxiety.  It happened fast, and then was over.  
 
A head-on crash was certain, .....until God took over and drove us around that huge semi-truck.  There is no other way to comprehend what happened.  ...........SMILE.  But God!
 
What did I learn?  God is very present, ....always.  .....Maggie and I had prayed that morning as we departed the hotel parking lot in Trinidad, ....thanking God for traveling with us.  
 
..........Apparently, Maggie and I have more stuff to do for our Lord before our time is up here.  God is our life, our breath, our hope.  .....Someday, we'll be doing eternity in Heaven with Him, but not yet!  SMILE.
 
Well, there it is.  A moment that could have been terrifying, but actually full of God's presence and peace.  
 
There is no better way to travel through life ....than with Him!

Why am I telling you this story?

Because I'm supposed to tell you this story.  ....He is "God of the impossible!", ....and always has a purpose for "goodness and hope" in our lives.  .......Someday, someone reading this story will know exactly what God is saying to them.  He is already ahead of you.  ....And its a good feeling isn't it.  

Do you have an assignment from God?

Perhaps....

Someone is in a challenging situation, and you need to encourage them.

Someone needs to hear Jesus loves them, ....wants to be their Savior, Lord, ....and Friend.  They need to know Jesus wants to travel life's journey with them.

Or, does God have an assignment for you, ....that you might think is "too big", ....and you just need to trust, ....believe, ....and follow Jesus?

As you ponder my December 14th — "God of the impossible!" — story above, simply ask God what He wants you to "see" in it.  ....You know what to do....
